Train Trip To Sacramento!

One of Andrew's favorite things is to take the light rail from Historic Folsom and ride it all the way to Downtown Sacramento! His step dad and myself treated Drew to this very thing today and here are a couple pics from our adventure :)

I've been waiting for this day for 5 long years...Kindergarten!! He is SO very excited to start school! His teacher is Miss Amanda Tibbits and he is in room 7 at Placer Elementary School in Loomis. Can't WAIT to see what the year brings!

Andrew loves to help out at the Ground Cow Restaurant his step dad runs and one of his favorite jobs besides bussing tables (for tips even!), and bringing beverages to the customers is making the burger patties :)

Father's Day 2013

I keep reminding Drew how lucky he is to have such a large and loving family. He not only has his awesome dad, but an wonderful Step dad too. Both filling different needs that Drew has, both loving him to the moon and back, and both there for him always. I am confident Drew will grow to be a well rounded and loving man thanks to the two positive male roles in his life growing up. To say thanks, Drew wanted to write a poem for each of them (I only supplied the questions, Drew answered them). Enjoy and thank you both for being in Drew's life!

Camping with Mom...Backyard Style

So everyone knows daddy does all the real camping but that doesn't mean mommy can't get in on that action! We live in the country so what's better that setting up a tent and having our own adventures? NOTHING! We set the tent up on the deck, lit the BBQ for our campfire and smores face stuffing, and snuggled in for an epic movie night once the sun went down :)

Date Night with Nannie

Every few weeks or so, Nannie asks if Andrew can come spend the night at her house for some grandma fun! Their night usually consists of Dinner at Hop Sings (Drew's favorite Chinese restaurant on Sutter Street in old Folsom), dessert at Snooks (a local candy/ice cream shop also on Sutter Street), off to Target or Walmart for a new toy and then back to the house for a move night! He loves his special Nannie time :)

Today we surprised Andrew by bringing Triage with us when we pick him up from school today. He was pretty excited about it...Drew seemed to be too :)

Drew's First Karate Class...a Trial

We had the opportunity to take a couple weeks of Karate lessons so we jumped on it. Drew loved it...maybe we will look into it on a more consistent basis later on!

Playground Fun!

We went grocery shopping and Drew kept starring at the produce guy who was watering all the fruits and veggies. You could imagine Drew's face when the same guy asked Drew if he would like to take over the watering duties!

Drew and His Light Bright

One of his birthday gifts Drew got this year was a Light Bright. He just had no idea of the awesome that lighted box actually has until we were able to open it up! He made all kinds of underwater scenes with the paper guides. Very cool!
