Look Who We Ran Into Today!

Drew and I were taking a walk to the park when we noticed this (not so little) guy chillin in his web. Drew thought it was "so awesome" and told me to take a picture. So without any further a do, I present to you...the reason I won't sleep tonight.

Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad Adventures!

We thought it would be fun to take the kids on a train ride today! We called up Landon's mom and asked if he could come too since we missed him at Ava's 5th birthday party yesterday! Here's a glimpse at our day!

There was a hold up and a pretend gun fight! The kids got a little scared at first, but they still really enjoyed it in the end!

What a fun end to a really fun weekend!

Fun at the Park

Drew had a dentist appointment in the morning, so I thought I would keep him home from school (plus I missed him from the weekend. Mrs Howell wasn't too upset to have the day off, either). Here's a little snapshot of our day!

After the dentist, I took him to get his hair cut then we had lunch together and read books. I love mommy Drew days :)

Mom got new glasses...and Drew is still cute.

A little update on me: I finally went back to the eye doctor (my previous glasses were broken so I wasn't wearing them for the past year and some change). Discovered that I (still) have astigmatism and I should be wearing my glasses most of the time (if not all)...whoops. They also want to keep an "eye" (no pun intended) on mine as there are some traits that could be associated with Glaucoma (but I also could of been born that way too so the doctor said not to worry). Drew helped me feel less nerdy by giving me a kiss and calling me "pretty". I hope he always stays this sweet :)

Halloween is going to be epic this year!

It's That Season Again...For Apple Hill!

Drew has been fishing a few times before but has never caught anything...until today! He and Grandpa Frank pulled this sucker out of the fishing pond! A proud moment for my dad and a happy one for Drew :)

Drew also got to ride on the horses that were there!

We bought our caramel apples, kettlecorn, honeysticks, and rock candy and headed home. What a fun day!

Fun at the Sacramento Children's Museum

We thought it would be fun to take Drew to the Sacramento Children's Museum! Here's a little peek at all the fun :)

This was Drew's favorite exhibit! A vacuum tube system that the kids can put foam balls and thin scarfs in! It sucked them up and then spit them out for the kids to chase. Super fun!

There was also a whole room dedicated to water play!

Drew thought the Lego area was awesome!

Drew could dress up in a bunch of different "work" attire and he chose the Fireman!

When we left, we got to take home a free Rosemary plant!
