Drew and the All Girl Tea Party

Chloe was having a tea party and she invited Drew and Ava to come! He dressed up for the occasion even :)

Thankfully, this boy knows how to adapt. He will do fine in life, I have no doubt!

Drew's New Awesome Shades

I went to an 80's party (so. freaking. fun.) and these were my glasses that was part of my costume. As soon as Drew saw them, they were his.

Alright, alright...here's what Darcie and I looked like at the 80's party. The more hairspray and brighter the lipstick, the better!! ;)

State Fair!

We met up with Darcie and Chloe and headed to the State Fair. It's been a really long time since I've been so I thought it would be fun. Turned out to be exactly what I remembered; strange people, hot weather, and overpriced (but tasty) food. The kids had a great time, however :)

Brad had a company picnic at and invited Drew to come! They were even able to play in the water a bit :)

Date Night with Mom!

Drew said he wanted to take me on a date so we both got dressed up a little bit and headed out! Wouldn't you know it...my dad fell asleep on me again! Literally one stoplight from the restaurant and slept through dinner completely. He woke up for dessert though :) Here's a little peek at our night together!

Dog Sitting...Like a Boss.

My very best dog niece, Isis, got to spend a few days at our house while her mom and dad were out of town! I love this dog like a child so I am pretty sure I was more excited about her being here than anyone else!

Drew really liked having her around and loved to take her on walks...although she had different ideas of what walks are supposed to be.

4th of July Fun!

This year we got to see LOTS of fireworks! I bought a pack for Drew to play with at home then we went to the huge gathering in El Dorado Hills! It allegedly had 25,000 people there. We met up with grandpa Frank and Judy and found a nice empty spot right behind Chili's and set up shop. Drew decided popcorn would be a good way to welcome the fireworks show later on.

This was us watching the show. Drew isn't a huge fan of the noise still (although LOVES the visual show), so he asked if I would cover his ears for him.

This was about 30 seconds in our car after the show.

The next day (on actual 4th of July), we headed to Judy's brother Kenny's house (my dad's girlfriend's brother...got it? haha). It was a surprise that Drew was able to come with us but his dad was right in the middle of moving so he asked if I would like to spend the holiday with Drew...uh DUH yes!! :) Everyone was so very happy to see him! Drew and I made a cake for the celebration too!

We were in Heaven with the food that was served! On the menu...giant BBQ turkey legs mmmmmmm
