Christmas Day with Grandpa Frank & Family

I got to pick Drew up Christmas morning and we headed straight to Grandpa Frank's house for even MORE spoiling and Christmas fun!

As per usual, Drew got super spoiled by Santa :) Then it was off to daddy's house for even MORE Christmas fun & spoiling. What a lucky little boy to have such a big family that loves him so much!

Making Cookies for Santa with Mom

Since Drew is spending Christmas eve at his dad's this year, we decided to get in touch with the big man himself and ask if he would come to our house early! This was our Christmas eve and Drew wanted to decorate cookies for Santa by himself and also leave a couple healthy snacks for him (since he gets cookies at everyone else's house too!)

My mom got Drew this microscope and Drew took a liking to it right away. He made me pluck a few hairs out of my head to "inspect" them.

Christmas Caroling with Mrs. Howell's Family

Mrs Howell invited Drew and myself to join her and some neighbors to go caroling. With such dark times, it's nice to be able to spread a little bit of cheer by a simple act like singing and smiling. I look forward to next year! Here's a snapshot of the evening.

Dear Santa...

After dinner, Drew asked if he could write his letter to Santa. We got out some paper and a pencil and got to it! Surprisingly enough, he only requested 4 things: A talking Mater, Avengers Legos, Stompies (the turtle kind), and lots of toys.

Puddle Win.

There was quite the storm this weekend in our neck of the woods. It was pretty boring at home with no power and there was a break in the rain, so off to the stores we went! We discovered the mother of all puddles so of course I had to let Drew splash in it! Good thing we brought his rain boots :)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

The new home construction is starting to die down and there was finally some time for decorating for Christmas! Drew was home sick from school so I thought I would try and cheer him up with having him put the ornaments on the tree :)

Loomis Park!

There is an awesome park right around the corner from our new house and we just discovered! Drew and I decided it would be fun to pack up a picnic lunch and blanket and spend some time there since the weather was so beautiful. We met a couple new friends there and ended up staying there about 3 hours :)

Thankful Turkey

Drew has worked so hard and for so many days on this turkey at his school! He cut out everything and wrote all but one of the feathers!

What Drew is thankful for: Tirios (Sotirios), Ava, mom, dad, Jaime...and Santa.

Drew Goes Ice Skating!

Drew requested Hop Sing (his most favorite of Chinese Food Restaurants) for dinner followed up with a visit to Snooks (most favorite candy and ice cream shop) on Sutter Street in Folsom. While we were walking down to dinner, we noticed the ice rink! We couldn't pass up the fun so off we went! Drew got his skates on quickly and I rented an assist tool for him (kind of like a walker so he doesn't fall). Well he fell. And cried. But then got right back up and tried again! For about 10 laps I had to hold his assist tool with him in between in arms and skate behind him...then a girl about his age passed him up. He couldn't let that happen. Step aside, mommy! I got this!

Andrew Painting His New Room!

Drew has been so patient regarding our move from Folsom to Loomis! He asked when his room would be done so I told him if he helped me with it, maybe tomorrow. He got right to painting. Almost finished a whole wall before bed too. I snuck into his room after he had fallen asleep and moved him into my bed. I decided to pull an all nighter so he could wake up in his own bed, in his own completed room! I think it's an awesome start! I added a couple Lava lamps as night lights (he says they are his favorite part). Drew came into our room the next morning squealing and had the hugest smile on his face :) Win!

Drew has quite the sticky fingers when it comes to "borrowing" other people's tools, so I thought he could use a set of his own!

Then they got into their costumes and modeled them and their bags for me! Drew is Thor and Ava is Girl Thor!
